Celink Forced Placed Insurance Litigation

• The case filed by Tusa P.C. and its co-counsel alleges that Celink imposes force placed hazard / homeowners’ insurance on reverse mortgage borrowers who already maintain hazard / homeowners’ insurance on their homes, even after Celink is told forced placed insurance is not needed.   Related to the force placed insurance, Celink also adds increased interest and mortgage insurance charges.  Celink was retained by WVMF Funding to subservice its reverse mortgage and home equity conversion mortgage (HECM) loans.   

• The Class Action Complaint alleges claims for breach of contract, violation of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and violations of New York and other States’ laws.
